Medical Groups - Doctors and Dentists
MEDICAL TOURS for DOCTORS AND DENTISTS with the Groups Company appeal in a variety of ways. These tours appeal to members of the medical profession who have already qualified in their chosen field, but want to improve their knowledge and skills. Many of our medical groups involve working with lecturers qualified to provide Continual Professional Development points to those travelling with their group. Some groups choose to arrange a short two or three day conference where speakers can update their skills and return home after a short break. Other groups choose to add a few days relaxation in the form of a post-Conference tour, perhaps a cultural tour of the area, or relaxing with a little golf, for example. You may prefer to limit the attendees to such a conference or seminar to just those professionals in the specific field chosen as the basis of the Conference. Or you may prefer to travel with your partner or family; the costs for non-Conference travellers will of course be different to the cost of conference delegates. How much time on your group journey is spent on the seminar or Conference, and how much time, if any, is spent on post-Conference tours is of course a choice made by you and your group.
An important feature of our medical group arrangements is that our aim is always to have professionals teaching professionals; expert to expert. These group arrangements are not designed around the use of lecturers working on the "learn one; do one; teach one" approach. Our Lecturers are specialists in their field. Of course as well as offering to arrange lecturers we can provide group seminar arrangements for you which allow members of your group to take turns in presenting papers to the other members of a group.
We operate Medical Tours for Doctors and Dentists to the following destinations:-
Finland, France, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, Portugal, Turkey, South Africa, Sri Lanka, & U.S.A.

A typical day -
After a leisurely breakfast the group meet in the Conference Hall, which may be in your group hotel or at a nearby building of interest. Two morning sessions will be the norm, with a coffee-break dividing the two sessions. After lunch, and time to talk over the business of the morning, the afternoon may see your group going into break-out sessions to discuss either the matters of the morning or other topics. Or you may prefer to work on the basis of the afternoons being devoted to rest and relaxation, particularly if partners or family are travelling with the seminar delegates. We would normally expect to arrange an interesting evening venue for Dinner; something redolent of the area in which the Conference is held.

The itineraries below are intended only to give an indication of what might be possible in a particular country, following an itinerary catering for a particular special interest.
No details of meals or accommodation are included in the itineraries as it would be your decision, at the planning stage, as to what is included. You would decide whether your tour included all meals, just Bed and Breakfast, or Bed and Breakfast plus some lunches or dinners at certain points on the itinerary. Similarly you would decide what standard of accommodation you wanted to use.
The itineraries detailed are deliberately short ones. It is intended to give a flavour, an outline, of an itinerary. If you have more time, then extra time can be built into each stop on the itinerary, and additional places of interest and overnight stops can be added. Lengthening the itinerary, to 10 days or two weeks, for example, and adding further night-stops will enrich your journey; shown below is just a brief skeletal itinerary as a basis for discussion and more detailed planning.
