Sierra Leone - has had its share of hard times; a vicious civil war tore the fabric of the country apart not so long ago. It is safe now to travel here, but the images of the civil war will take time to fade from the memory and the country is likely to have few visitors in the near future. Mixed up in the motives for the conflict was the diamond industry.
