Football Tours
FOOTBALL TOURS with the groups company appeal to those who wish to combine their love of the game with a taste for overseas travel. The group may travel solely to attend several matches during a tournament or just to see teams of note in action. Alternatively the group may wish for a more active participation in the sport and to take part in a series of matches against local amateur sides. The degree to which a football holiday is a passive one, watching several teams, or an active one involving matches against local clubs, is up to you. You and your group choose th style of football holiday you want.
We operate Football tours to the following destinations:-
Argentina, Brazil, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Portugal, Spain & Vietnam.
A typical day...
After a leisurely breakfast the morning may be taken up with a training session, either run by members of the group, or led by a professional coach, if you have chosen to take one along with you or to hire one locally. In the afternoon there may be another training session, or a 5 a side match or two between members of the group. Or, depending on the day there may be a local match to watch. Dinner will be a good opportunity to talk over the results of the matches played in the afternoon or watched at a local fixture.
After lunch a match – either a knock-out or a league competition – can be arranged, before a relaxing end to the afternoon leads into the evening and a pleasant dinner. Two variations on the above may appeal:
Your group may decide that an exciting way to end the holiday would be, after a few days spent acclimatising and fine-tuning their game, to take part in a match against one or more local tennis clubs based in the area you are visiting.. The groups company can arrange this. Or you may decide that, whilst Football at one centre for the entire holiday is pleasant enough, travelling Football may add a difference. This would see the group moving on to another locale after a couple of days, perhaps for just for a change of venue or perhaps to take on another local club in a series of touring matches. An unusual variation on this theme is to combine the Football with a leisurely cruise on one of our gulets in Turkey. Each day then consists of time ashore on court, either practising or competing, mixed with time cruising off-shore, relaxing in the sunshine.
Bringing non-playing partners along will reduce the per-person cost of the holiday and add another dimension to the holiday, with sightseeing – either for the non-players whilst the Football happens, or for everyone if Football is in the morning and sightseeing is in the afternoon – built into the itinerary.
The exact format of the day is determined by you and your group at the planning stage of the holiday; You and your group choose the style of Football holiday that you want.
Sample itineraries ...
The itineraries below are intended only to give an indication of what might be possible in a particular country, following an itinerary catering for a particular special interest.
.
No details of meals or accommodation are included in the itineraries as it would be your decision, at the planning stage, as to what is included. You would decide whether your tour included all meals, just Bed and Breakfast, or Bed and Breakfast plus some lunches or dinners at certain points on the itinerary. Similarly you would decide what standard of accommodation you wanted to use.
The itineraries detailed are deliberately short ones. It is intended to give a flavour, an outline, of an itinerary. If you have more time, then extra time can be built into each stop on the itinerary, and additional places of interest and overnight stops can be added. Lengthening the itinerary, to 10 days or two weeks, for example, and adding further night-stops will enrich your journey; shown below is just a brief skeletal itinerary as a basis for discussion and more detailed planning.
